A number that can be expressed as a ratio (fraction) of two integers.

Formulas

ℚ = (a)/(b) \mid a, b ∈ ℤ, b ≠ 0

Set notation for rational numbers

Select the rational numbers: 1/2, √2, 0.333..., π

Example 2

Express 0.75 as a fraction in lowest terms.
